Website with map function for mobile and desktop

SPOR.dk is the place where you can find trails on agricultural land that Danish farmers and landowners allow free access to.

The trails are located all over the country, and via a clear and interactive map function on SPOR.dk, users can easily find - and zoom in on - trails in the desired hiking area. Users can see exactly where the trails are located on the map. They can also read about special experiences, attractions and facilities on the routes.

It's up to the users themselves whether they sit at a PC and prepare themselves before setting off, or whether they just take their mobile phone with them and read about the routes along the way. SPOR.dk is a fully responsive website that works on all types of digital devices.

Create your own trail

SPOR relies heavily on volunteers to come up with ideas for new trails and help map and describe the trails. Through the website, volunteers can find all the information they need for this work.

The technology behind the solution

The website is based on Umbraco CMS, and we created it in close collaboration with the Danish Agriculture & Food Council - the trade organisation for agriculture, food and agribusiness. We designed and built the interactive map function from scratch in Umbraco CMS with integration to the outdoor database GeoFA, where all geographical data is stored and maintained.
