Habitura
HABITURA’s mindmap tool supports new strategic goals.
With a digital mindmap tool, HABITURA helps large organisations bring strategy to life and achieve new goals. The tool is used in every 3rd Danish municipality.
From post-its to digital structure and action
Getting everyone in a large organisation to follow new strategic tracks, goals and plans is difficult. HABITURA helps with just that. As consultants, they gather employees or citizens around common goals and find new ways to get there.
To avoid drowning in paper post-its and unrealisable ideas, HABITURA and Illumi have developed a unique digital mindmap and collaboration tool. The tool not only keeps track of background knowledge and ideas, but also drives new habits to the finish line with concrete action plans and responsibilities.
When we can increase the power of implementation in large organisations, it's roughly due to three factors: Our methodology with tough structure. Our ability to facilitate high-energy workshops. And not least, our digital mindmap tool. With the thousands of people we involve, it's crucial that the technology is friendly and conducive to engagement.
Thomas VovemoD Lütken, Director of HABITURA
When the goal is clear, but the path is is not
But what makes HABITURA's mindmap tool special when large organisations want to change the way they work? For example, when faced with new sustainability requirements or when AI and other technologies require major changes?
If management wants AI to improve workflows or sustainability to be a natural priority, there are requirements and opportunities that seem overwhelming and difficult for management and employees to grasp. Where do we start? How do we make the new present? How do we strengthen the organisation in changing times? What matters most?
HABITURA's mindmap software helps organisations do just that. HABITURA has a special ESG package, an AI package and a strategy package that boils everything down to clear "digital post-its" with specific focus areas. These are clearly organised in a tree structure in the mindmap software so that employees are involved and take action where it makes the most sense.
The mindmap tool addresses all the important questions: What does it mean to us if we reach the goal in this area? What can we do to get there? Who will do what and when? Everything is mapped out in the process using the software.
"The software also serves as a knowledge bank and to hold on to the thoughts that arise when many different people are working towards the same goal," says Thomas VovemoD Lütken. "All information and tasks are linked together in a larger whole and everyone can see what they are a part of. It works for both employee and citizen involvement - including in the 32 municipalities we work with."
Human knowledge coupled with digital power
With each digital post-it in the tree structure, employees work their way through the branches of the tree, adding background knowledge, working on ideas, defining to dos, assigning responsibilities and setting deadlines. The structure is held in place by the tool, no matter how many branches, twigs and leaves are added.
"Radical improvements in large organisations require activating employees' knowledge of the organisation and its processes," explains Thomas VovemoD Lütken. "But you get bogged down in the transition if you're not guided along the way and activate your knowledge. Our programme facilitates the process and creates employee motivation for the new priorities because there is a balance between the human and the digital. People can do a lot, but the software and platform magnify their abilities tenfold and provide an overview of progress."
Flexible software for increased implementation power
HABITURA is a piece of software that is so flexible that it can support all kinds of strategic work in large organisations. It can be about ESG, AI, reforms, new strategic shifts, increased job satisfaction, better onboarding processes, facilitation for changing climate habits among citizens - or something else entirely.
The really smart thing about this software is that we can adapt it exactly to the individual purpose and the individual large organisation. In a split second, we can rotate the cards in the mindmap or replace one card with another - and we have digitised the company's specific situation. Without moving a line of code!
Thomas VovemoD Lütken, CEO of HABITURA
In this way, HABITURA has not just got a specialised solution that can be used for one purpose in one industry. In one package, they have a piece of software that can be used in all large organisations and to achieve all kinds of strategic goals.
Iterative collaboration and development
When Illumi develops software, it is an iterative process with ongoing user involvement and close collaboration across disciplines. Thomas VovemoD Lütken explains how he has experienced the collaboration:
"We brought all our consulting knowledge about habit change processes and human involvement, and Illumi has translated it into an intuitive and incredibly beautiful solution that functions as a knowledge bank, process tool and collaboration platform.
Illumi is crazy good at decoding our needs and translating them into something their developers and designers can work with. Typically, they start with a design brief, which we then refine together before it lands in the developers' hands.
Along the way, we test the solution with pioneer customers - and we use the experience to adjust and improve. The interesting question is: How do you test a prototype? Fortunately, we have customers who are happy to test new modules at beta level so that we develop the right thing.
Illumi is also good at making sure we stay on track. They don't just develop because we suggest something new. They think long-term and always assess whether it can also be used in other contexts. This makes the solution both flexible and durable," Thomas VovemoD Lütken concludes.
